"The Mother, Daughter & Granddaughter Collaborating Art Team Legacy: A Three-Generation Dynasty of Award-Winning Excellence"

From 1993 to 1999, this extraordinary artistic family dominated some of California's most prestigious art competitions, earning an unprecedented collection of awards that reads like a who's who of fine art achievement. In addition, in 2000 an invite from the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, D.C.

California State Fair Champions:

1993: Early recognition at the state's premier art competition (Vanessa, age 4)

1996: Double victory with Raku Pottery masterpieces including "Tortoises" (Award of Merit) and "Big Fun Ferris Wheel," There were 1,150 entries and only 170 were selected for display in the exhibit.

1997: The legendary "Less Than 24" - scoring an extraordinary 99/100 with perfect scores in Originality & Imagination (40/40) and Technical Skill (30/30), earning "Best of Class" for ages 10-13

Multi-Fair Dominance:

  • Colorado River County Fair, Blythe: Multiple First Place victories
  • Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival: First Place "Gossiping Geckos"
  • Antelope Valley Fair & Alfalfa Festival: Consistent award winners

The "Less Than 24" Legend: Perhaps their most celebrated achievement - an 11-year-old Vanessa created this complex mixed-media masterpiece in under 24 hours while managing school finals, then scored 99/100 at the California State Fair with judges praising its "wonderful" composition and "great use of color."

Artistic Range: From traditional watercolors to innovative Raku pottery, from whimsical animal studies to profound abstract compositions, this team's versatility across mediums demonstrates rare artistic mastery.

Three-Generation Innovation: What began as mother-daughter collaboration has evolved into a unique three-generation artistic dynasty with a granddaughter, continuing to create museum-quality works that blend technical excellence with deeply personal storytelling.
