We have lived all over California, one of our favorite cities was Santa Paula, CA. It is here you'll find this beautiful building know as, "The Union Oil Company," and is significant for a historical importance as the birthplace of the Union Oil Company on October 17, 1890. Upstairs in the private living quarters on the fireplace, is one tile of Lyman Stewart and his son Will Stewart. Lyman was the founder of the oil industry in Santa Paula, California. This tile seems to be telling us that Lyman who's holding his heart, has finally struck oil and can pay the bills and Will was jumping with glee, thinking of a car he can now buy. The checkered tile design around Lyman and Will, is from the floor tiles in another office in the front of the building on the second floor. The location of the Historical Landmark is,
