What can we say about BULLYING?

Has anyone ever told you to, “Get Off Your High-horse?” When in fact, unknowingly, you’d actually had a lifelong illness and to find out years later you had a serious autoimmune called Celiac Disease!, and had always been sick and never had a personality to so rudely hear, “Get Off Your High-horse!”

These three adorable horses are so cute and giving the bullies a Raspberries. Can you see their tongues flapping in the breeze? We love the soft, dreamy watercolor technique with those gorgeous pastel colors - blues, purples, pinks, and greens all blending together so harmoniously!

The horses have such personality - the blue one on the left, the sweet pink and floral one in the middle, and the purple one on the right! They're standing in that lovely green grass with such a peaceful, whimsical feeling!

This family member was always mad because we didn’t feel like coming to visit, it wasn’t that we didn’t feel stuck-up and not want to visit, we actually didn’t feel physically good. However, we didn’t know why we didn’t feel physically good!
We had heard this person say, “Get Off Your High-horse,” nearly every time we spoke to them long distance, hence the painting, “Three Hilarious High-horses,” 1998, little did we know that the third horsey would be my granddaughter and collaborating art team member Kierah, as she was also born with Celiac Disease too!

In 2004 both Vanessa and I were diagnosed with Celia Disease. Say WHAT? Celiac Disease is an illness caused by an immune reaction to eating gluten. Gluten is a protein found in foods containing wheat, barley or rye. If you have celiac disease, eating gluten triggers an immune response to the gluten protein in your small intestine. That is why we had such a long pause in our Artwork. When we finally figured out how to re-live our entire life by changing everything we ate, including we used on our bodies such as lotions and shampoos. People literally demanded we open a gluten-free bakery, and that is what we did? Starting in 2008 and continuing in Las Vegas from 2015 to 2024, We had GlutenZero Bakery open for nine years until Covid, Ukraine, and price gouging forced us to close. So now we’re back doing all of our artwork with true passion and healthy physical strength. We still get glutened every so often, however we usually know what we’ve done to get sick and avoid it in the future. Research the Internet, as most people who have celiac disease or one of the many, many autoimmune’s need to know and get gluten on their diet to feel better! It is estimated that there are 50M people with an undiagnosed autoimmune in the United States.

Whether it's how you look, your race, your religion or just your day-to-day living, there has been and will always be Bully's. There is no logic to bullying! Adult's and children with special food needs get bullied a lot. You just have to talk to them about foods the bully doesn't like to start the conversation!
